Dermaplaning is an effective skin exfoliation procedure. It involves exfoliating the epidermis, removing the topmost layer of the dead skin while ridding the skin from fine vellus hair. The procedure uses a ten gauge surgical and sterile scalpel that gently scrapes off the dulling skin cells and tiny hair from the top layer. The scalpel abrades the skin’s surface with light feathering strokes, thus making it safe and effective.
